Warri - ‘Gen.’ Morocco Wilfred and ‘Gen.’ Emmanuel Ejedje, both ex-militants
of Phase 3 Amnesty Programme from Urhobo ethnic nationality, over the weekend,
condemned the continuous bombing of oil installations in the Niger Delta
region.
The two ex-militant
chiefs, who spoke in a separate interviews called on the militants to embrace
dialogue in the interest of one Nigeria.
Gen. Morocco
and Gen. Emma, members of the Phase 3 Amnesty Programme, advised Gen.
Paul Boroh (rtd.) to settle the legal battle between Morocco and the Federal
Government for peace to reign in the troubled Niger Delta region.
While emphasising
the superiority of dialogue to the use of brute force, the ex-militants opined
that the negotiation table is always the best place to display your joker
instead of lurking horns in a war without end.
The ‘generals’ also
spoke about the sterling leadership quality of Dr. Mike Emuh, the HOSCON
national executive chairman, whom they said, has done so much in taking HOSCON
to higher ground.
The duo former
warlords noted that Dr. Emuh is a man endowed with the wisdom of leadership.
Speaking further,
they reaffirmed that the good job he was doing in HOSCON singled him out for
honour by President Muhammadu Buhari, who appointed him as BoT member of the
Governing Council of Ogoniland clean-up exercise.
The warlords noted
that Dr. Emuh was a worthy servant leader who has made himself a good ambassador
of HOSCON for the Ogoni clean-up project where God is already making him an
instrument of accomplishment.
They thanked
President Buhari for his kind gesture of allowing an illustrious son of the
Niger Delta to serve in that capacity.
