It's that time of the year again. That festive period of merry making, celebration and the likes. For some it is just another year coming to a close, thus a time for stock taking and perhaps postulations for the incoming year.
So why all this drama?
It is very easy to forget the importance of this season because 'new-age' pioneers are working overtime to systematically remove God from the consciousness of people. That is why instead of wishing you a 'Merry Christmas', they prefer "Happy Holidays" or at best "Season's Greeting" (which are good salutations in themselves though).Who is Christ?
He is the Son of the Living God who incarnated in human flesh as a baby by the power of the Holy Ghost into the womb of a virgin named Mary. He was (and still is) God's plan for salvation. He is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Why Mass?
So profound and significant was the birth of Christ that the church and everyone else who appreciated His impact decided to mass (another word for celebrate) it regularly. So the 25th of December isn't necessarily the exactly date Christ was born but is set aside to thank God for sending His Son to the world. So how is all these my business?
When the devil (Lucifer) was thrown out of Heaven and down to the earth, the angels declared: "woe unto the earth because the devil is come down unto you having great wrath"In a sharp contrast, when Christ was born the angels declared: "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men"
Whilst the enemy comes to destroy, Christ is come that we may have abundant life.
Moral of the story please!
Sure. In a society where there is a high tendency to celebrate death more than we do life, we must recognize that we are not just celebrating life, we are celebrating "The Life"Merry Christmas everyone (take it east with the chicken! Lol)
