    Celta Vigo Trash Barca 4 - 3

    • Full-time at Balaidos as Celta Vigo secure another massive win against Luis Enrique and Barcelona at home with a 4-3 victory. It was a quite brilliant match from start to finish, with the home side taking a three-goal lead before the break thanks to a Mathieu OG and goals from Aspas and Sisto, but Barca rallied in the second half and got two back via Pique and Neymar. However, a horrible mistake from Ter Stegen gifted Celta their fouth, which meant Pique's second will only go down as a consolation. This is what Spanish football is all about! Thanks for joining us.
    • 90'+4'
THE CHANCE COMES AND GOES FOR BARCA! Pique, who has been by far and away their best player tonight, goes for a hat-trick of headers at the back post, but has no such luck with his third aerial attempt as he sees it go high over the bar. He knows he should have scored, but Celta survive!
    • 90'+2'
A generous FIVE minutes of added time have been allocated by the referee here which will certainly not be music to the ears of Eduardo Berizzo. The Celta coach is calmly attempting to distribute instruction from the dugout currently, but inside his nerves will be shredding! Not long to go.
    • 90'
OH A POOR MISS FROM NEYMAR! The Celta fans take in a massive sigh of relief as the former Santos forward latches on to a cross inside the box 12 yards out, only to send a looping header the wrong side of the left-hand post. Alvarez was rooted to the spot, but he is similarly relieved at the goal-kick!
    • 88'
Yellow Card Luis Alberto Suárez Díaz
Frustrations are riding high among the Barcelona players now and Suarez lets it get the better of him as he gives the linesman a pile of abuse near the touchline for failing to award him the free-kick.
    • AdTech Ad
      88'
      SubstitutionIago Aspas JuncalJohn Guidetti
A timewasting change from Celta here as Guidetti replaces the superb Iago Aspas.
    • 87'
      Assist Denis Suárez Fernández
Excellent work from Suarez to assist Pique to give Barca a ray of slim hope.

      87'
      Goal Gerard Piqué Bernabéu
GOOOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLL FOR BARCELONA! Late drama at Balaidos! Suarez takes on the defender at right-back and makes it to the byline before standing a cracking cross into the box for Pique, who once again displays his aerial prowess by rises high to glance a header into the corner. Four-three! They can't, can they?!
    • 85'
Five minutes to go and Barcelona are throwing everything apart from the kitchen sink at Celta to try and grab a couple of goals here. It is quite the task to get their third, never mind the equalising fourth, but that mistake from Ter Stegen really took the wind out of their sails.
    • 83'
      SubstitutionDaniel WassJonathan Castro Otto
Celta, in turn, make a change of their own as Wass comes of for Jonny Castro.
    • 82'
      SubstitutionJordi Alba RamosFrancisco Alcácer García
Third and final alteration from Enrique here and it is the last throw of the dice from the Barca head coach as he throws on another striker, Paco Alcacer, in place of left-back Alba.
    • 81'
Win the game so finely balanced at 3-2 to Celta, it was going to take a moment of real quality or a terrible mistake to put the match in favour of either side to game-winning degree. Unfortunately for the visitors, it is the latter, and comes from Ter Stegen between the sticks.
    • 79'
Aspas shows Mathieu a clean pair of heels and bursts in behind the Frenchman, leaving him for dead, before going one-on-one with the goalkeeper. It is much better from the Barca stopper this time, though, as he keeps himself big forcing the striker to send a limp attempt towards the back post which is cleared by the retreating Pique.
    • 77'
      Goal Pedro Pablo Hernández
GOOOOOAAAALLLLL FOR CELTA VIGO! An absolute CALAMITY from Ter Stegen! A simple pass is sent back to the Barcelona goalkeeper but he languishes in possession far too long which means his clearance cannons off the head of Pablo Hernandez before nestling into the empty net! What on earth was the German thinking there? Four-two!
    • 76'
SubstitutionSergio Busquets i BurgosDenis Suárez Fernández
Second alteration from Luis Enqrique here as he introduces Denis Suarez in place of the out-of-sorts Busquets.
    • 74'
      Yellow Card Gerard Piqué Bernabéu
Another booking here and the dugouts both explode in protests after Pique scythes down Aspas a few yards in front of the technical area. Celta are moaning that is should be a red card, and Barca are moaning that it shouldn't be a foul at all, so naturally the referee takes the middle ground and brandishes the yellow to the World Cup winner.
    • 72'
Just under 20 minutes remaining in this highly entertaining Spanish Primera Division clash and even though Barca have drastically improved in the second half, they still find themselves behind with the clock ticking down towards the final whistle. The three points is required from the game if they are to go back to the top of the table above Atletico.
    • 70'
Iniesta has been a massive factor in Barcelona's resurgence in this second period and has displayed brilliant leadership when on the ball in those central areas. Naturally, all the positive moves forward for Los Cules are going through their club captain, who makes his 600th appearance for the Catalan giants tonight.
    • 68'
Surely another penalty for Barcelona?! Hugo Mallo has apparently not learned his lesson after giving away the spotkick moments ago, and is VERY lucky not to be penalised a second time as he pulls Neymar down on the edge of the six-yard box when the Barca man was looking to take possession in to get the shot away. Celta get away with it!
    • 66'
You could have heard a pin drop inside the stadium when that penalty was awarded to Barcelona, but the Celta fans are trying to catalyse a response from their players here as the ascendancy is all win the Blaugrana as we enter the latter stages. The 12th man is required if the home side are going to see this out!
    • 64'
Penalty Goal Neymar da Silva Santos Junior
GOOOOAAAAAAAAALLL FOR BARCELONA! Neymar steps up and confidently dispatches the penalty into the bottom left corner after a staggered run up to try and get the better of the goalkeeper. Three-two - GAME ON!
    • 63'
      Yellow Card Hugo Mallo Novegil
PENALTY TO BARCELONA! Mallo is penalised for a foul on Gomes inside the box and is also given a yellow card for his trouble. What a chance for the visitors to make a game out of this!
    • 63'
SubstitutionThéo Bongonda Mbul'Ofeko BatomboMarcelo Alfonso Díaz Rojas
First change of the match from Eduardo Berizzo as he withdraws Bongonda in favour of Marcelo Diaz.
    • 62'
Plenty of concentration is required from Celta now as Barcelona clearly look like a different team in this second period. Iniesta has been crucial to this as he has moved the play much quicker in the middle of the park which in turn hasn't awarded the hosts as much time to get into defensive positions.
    • 60'
Gomes attempts to get involved in the action going forward for Barcelona with a penetrating run down the right flank. The former Valencia man opens up his stride to hit the byline before standing a teasing cross to the back post, but Mallo nods into the hands of Alvarez whilst under plenty of pressure from Neymar.
    • 58'
      Assist Andrés Iniesta Luján
A good impact from the bench from Iniesta as he helps Barca claw their way back into contention with an assist.
    • 58'
      Goal Gerard Piqué Bernabéu
GOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLL FOR BARCELONAAA! A ray of hope for the visitors, and in simple fashion. Iniesta pops up down the left-hand side and gains a yard of space on the defender before swinging a cross to the edge of the six-yard box for Pique, who rises above everyone, including the goalkeeper, to nod into the bottom corner! Three-one.
    • 56'
The Balaidos faithful are certainly having fun tonight but may just be jumping the gun ever-so-slightly with their 'OLE' chants every time a Celta player completes a pass! Certainly audacious from the home fans, but there is still plenty of football to be played and goals to be potentially conceded!
    • 54'
Barcelona's performance has been strange to say the least so far this evening. They may be 3-0 down which is bad enough, but there is currently zero cohesion among the players which is quite incredible to say when describing Barca who are usually so well drilled in their communication and link-up play.
    • 52'
Barca are awarded a free-kick around 35 yards out and it is Suarez who is tasked with it this time after Neymar failed with the previous attempt. The former Liverpool striker sees his first attempt blocked by the wall only to be allowed to have a crack on goal for the rebound, but AGAIN Celta display their solidity with a similar blocked interception.
    • 50'
Neymar is fouled down the left-hand side once again and the referee awards the free-kick without brandishing a yellow. The Brazilian demands to know why none of the Celta players have been punished for the plethora of late challenges, but the official waves away the protests which fall on deaf ears.
    • 48'
Iniesta shows composure in the middle of the park to play into the path of Suarez, but this trait cannot be said for the Uruguayan too as he fails to take advantage of the space due to a poor touch which allows Celta to win the ball again.
    • 46'
We are back under way in this clash at Balaidos!
    • 46'
SubstitutionRafael Alcântara do NascimentoAndrés Iniesta Luján
No surprises to see Iniesta enter the action at the break, and he will replace Rafinha.
    • Half-time at Balaidos. Rather incredibly, Celta have absolutely bullied Barcelona so far and go into the break 3-0 against the champions, with strikes from Sisto, Aspas, and an own-goal from Mathieu leaving Luis Enrique with plenty of work to do to save this game. Expect some changes from the former Roma head coach before the upcoming second half.
    • 45'
Yellow Card Sergio Busquets i Burgos
First yellow card of the match is shown now and it comes to Busquets which is no real surprise as he has been completely off the pace. Aspas is the victim this time, much as he has been for a lot of Barcelona's frustrations.
    • 43'
Not only are Celta three goals to the good against the current champions of Spain, but they are even turning on the style with some party tricks! Sisto is the man causing problems for Barca again as he twists and turns his way into the penalty area before attempting to flick past Alba. The left-back comes out on top on this occasion, but the Balaidos faithful loved the intentions.
    • 41'
Andre Gomes, who has been very poor so far, moves into a decent area around 25 yards out then slides a neat pass into the feet of Suarez, who rounds the goalkeeper before attempting the strike from an extremely tight angle. Due to the angle available, the Uruguayan only succeeds in firing high and wide over the bar.
    • 39'
Celta have showed remarkable guile to bounce back after what was a fairly positive opening 10 minutes from Barcelona. The home side realised that sitting back would only invite pressure on the defence, and as such they changed things about to mount continuous pressing as high up the park as possible.
    • 37'
It looks like Iniesta and Mascherano have already been tasked with warming up by Luis Enrique, and it wouldn't surprise you at all if there was some changes made as early as half-time by the Blaugrana. It hasn't just been that duo that Barca have missed either - they need the energy and quality of Rakitic who is also on the bench.
    • 35'
Ten minutes to go in the first half at Balaidos and this crowd can't quite believe what they are seeing, what they are witnessing. Celta have absolutely destroyed Barcelona so far but the visitors haven't exactly been innocent in their own downfall, with some of the defensive organisation quite awful at times!
    • 33'
      Own Goal Jérémy Mathieu
GOOOAAALL!! GOOOAAALL FOR CELTA! This is quite unbelievable! Wass is involved in the action positively for the home side again as he pops up in the right channel before curling a teasing cross into the danger area, which is turned into the Barcelona net by the despairing Mathieu! A complete lack of communication between the French defender and Ter Stegen. Three-one Celta!
    • 31'
      Goal Iago Aspas Juncal
GOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL FOR CELTA! The hosts incredibly double the lead! Mallo robs Suarez of possession inside his own box and then launches a long ball up top which Busquets fails to deal with in the air. Aspas collects and then runs at Pique ominously before driving a fantastic left-footed strike beyond Ter Stegen into the bottom corner! Two-nil
    • 30'
The Celta fans all put their palms to their faces as Cabral faces his own goal with the ball whilst under massive pressure from Neymar and Suarez, but they are quick to show their relief when the central defender coolly evades the attentions of the Barca duo before playing back to Alvarez.
    • 28'
Aspas comes deep to see a bit of the ball and collects inside the centre circle before being bundled to the floor sandwiched between Rafinha and Andre Gomes, who both give the referee an earful for awarding the foul. Clever play from the former Liverpool centre-forward, though.
    • 26'
Enrique was given a little bit of flak last season for not rotating his side enough throughout the season, but it looks like today's rotation isn't entirely working so far as Barca have been fairly abject. They do have the likes of Iniesta, Mascherano, and Alcacer waiting in the wings to come on and make an impact.
    • 24'
We are just beyond the midway point of the first half now and Celta have certainly deserved to take that one-goal lead with Barca unable to generate any kind of attacking ascendancy. The Celestes have sensed blood from the get-go and that was a really cracking goal from Sisto to open the scoring.
    • 22'
      Assist Iago Aspas Juncal
The striker turns provider this time as Aspas sets up the opener.
    • 22'
      Goal Pione Sisto Ifolo Emirmija
GOOOOAAAAAALLLL! GOOOAAAALLL FOR CELTA! Balaidos erupts for the opener! Busquets fumbles an awful pass out from Ter Stegen and the hosts pounce with Aspas eventually receiving possession before threading a perfect pass into the channel for Sisto. The winger takes one excellent touch before flashing a strike low into the bottom left corner from seven yards! One-nil.
    • 20'
Fair play to Celta, as they are attempting to press Barca as high as possible up the pitch, which is of course the tactic which served them so well in the last clash between the two outfits at Balaidos. Very brave indeed, though.
    • 18'
A decent period of sustained possession from Barca at the moment, but it lacks the cutting edge which has been present a couple of times already. Indeed, Luis Enrique on the touchline is urging his charges to add some more tempo and intensity in their passing, particularly in midfield.
    • 16'
Suarez features down the right flank this time as he receives the ball to feet before looking to take on the defender. He gains a little bit of room on Roncaglia which enables the cross inside, but Alvarez really well to claim possession out of the air even after the wicked deflection off the foot of the Argentine defender.
    • 14'
Busquets is guilty of a rare lack of composure in the middle of the park and Celta pounce on the counter through Aspas. The striker moves into the danger area and shifts possession left to Wass who decides to try his luck with a crack on goal from 25 yards, but PIque is proactive in his defending and makes the solid block before Ter Stegen is called into action.
    • 12'
SAVE FROM ALVAREZ! Suarez and Arda link up superbly in the left channel and exchange two lovely one-twos before the former eventually pulls the trigger on goal. It is fairly routine in the end for the Celta goalkeeper, though, who comfortably gets down to claim a yard to his left.
    • 10'
Celta venture into the final third for basically the first time in the match and the attack goes through Mallo on this right-hand side. The full-back eats up the space available to him and eventually gains a yard on his marker to get the cross away, but it disappointingly goes behind for a goal-kick with team-mates left frustrated inside the area.
    • 8'
A decent opening portion of the match from Barca here who are looking to grab the opening goal as early as possible. As mentioned previously, the last time they made the visit here they were defeated 4-1 due to Celta's brilliant tempo in the early stages, so the Blaugrana are attempting to curb any chance of a repeat this evening.
    • 6'
In Messi's absence due to injury, Neymar looks to have adopted a playmaking role a lot more after popping up in the centre more than the left much more often. On this occasion, he pops up to send a lovely curled pass down the channel for Suarez, but Barca get he free-kick after a no-nonsense foul from Cabral.
    • 4'
An uncharacteristically poor first touch of the match from Suarez here as the Uruguayan battles for prominence up against Mallo near the corner flag in the Celta half. The former Liverpool man just allowed his marker a little room to make the tackle after failing to take the ball into feet with any authority.
    • 2'
Barca are awarded a cracking opportunity to take the lead early doors here as Neymar is fouled around 20 yards out after driving at the Celta defence. The Brazilian dusts himself off to hit the resulting free-kick, but the attempt cannons off the wall before deflecting behind for the first corner of play.
    • 1'

    • TEAM NEWS...
    • Barcelona are currently positioned down in fourth in the Primera Division with 13 points taken from their opening six matches, but can leapfrog Atletico Madrid to the top spot if they can successfully overcome Celta here tonight. Eduardo Berizzo's outfit, meanwhile, haven't exactly lit up the league in the opening stages of the season and are down in 14th with just six points accumulated so far.
    • The previous fixture overall between Celta and Barca took place in February of this year at the Camp Nou, and Enrique's charges certainly had revenge on their mind on that occasion due to the aforementioned drubbing they received at Balaidos previously. In that Liga encounter, Los Cules secured a dominant 6-1 victory with strikes from Lionel Messi, Ivan Rakitic, Neymar and a superb hat-trick from Luis Suarez sealing all three points.
    • Luis Enrique will no doubt have mixed emotions in regards to his return to Galicia tonight. The Spaniard was previously boss of Celta in the 2013/14 season and lead the team from Vigo to a respectable ninth-place finish, however the Celestes actually gave the Barcelona head coach his first Liga loss in charge of the Blaugrana, and in sensational fashion too. This was the last fixture between the two outfits at Balaidos, and the hosts ran out comprehensive 4-1 winners thanks to goals from Nolito, John Guidetti, and a double from Iago Aspas.
    • Good evening football fans! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Spanish Primera Division clash between Celta Vigo and Barcelona from the Balaidos.
